Testimonials

Turath Scholarship has facilitated for me a fantastic opportunity to continue with postgraduate studies despite my commitments of work and parenthood. Without this, it wouldn’t have been possible to seize this opportunity without having to make compromises that other sponsors often require students to make. I pray Allah accept the great work Turath is doing, and I hope to continue working together during my future doctorate too, insha’allah.

Alhamdulillah with the help of the TSF I was able to concentrate on what Egypt had to offer in terms of my development and education. I managed to improve my Quran recitation and Arabic many fold and was able to participate in various Islamic studies. Following my stay in Egypt I studied at Cambridge Muslim College and the University of Edinburgh in the field of Islamic studies. I always drew on my time in Egypt during these further studies. This was due to the knowledge I gained but also the experience of staying in another country for a prolonged period and understanding the people and culture there. I feel that I developed intellectually in Egypt but also as a person. I'm now able to connect with Egyptians on a more personal level when I meet them in a masjid, education or work setting. This helps a lot with being able to build trust, and provide advice and guidance on matters of iman and wellbeing.
